Professional Waxing
*If you are on any vitamin-a creams (Retin-A, Retinol), or Accutane you cannot get waxed
until 30 days after your treatments have been stopped.
Waxing Do's and Dont's

To achieve best results and provide a smooth hair removal service, facial hair
should be 1/8 of an inch long. Leg and body hair should be 1/4 of an inch long.
Although it varies with clients, this is typically 2 to 3 weeks of hair growth.

If have have been sunbathing, then please wait at least 48 hours before doing any
waxing service. However, if you are sunburned, then we suggest a few weeks.
Please do not expose freshly waxed skin to the sun for at least 24 hours.

We do not wax skin that is irritated, sunburned, has a rash or broken

If you are on prescription Acutane, Retin-A or any prescription acne cream, then
please be off the medication for at least 30 days before scheduling a waxing
appointment. If you've recently had a strong facial peel, then we do not recommend
waxing and you should wait at least 3 weeks.

Plan to wax after your period. Your pain threshold is higher in the week after your
period than having wax applied to your dainty bits certainly will.

Exfoliate. The day before you decide to wax, exfoliate in the shower. This will
remove dead skin, allowing the wax to grip shorter hairs.

Take an over-the-counter pain reliever. About an hour before your appointment,
take an Advil, Tylenol or other pain reliever.
At Naomi's Studio & Salon, we prefer to use a
hard wax that does not use Muslin Strips.
Hard wax is more gentle than soft wax and
clients find this wax to be much more
comfortable and the results are the most
impressive.
Please note that we do not wax eyebrows.
We prefer to
tweeze for the most accurate
shaping.
